Every once in a while irony smacks you in the face when you least expect it.
Today's moment happened in the McDonald's drive-thru, where I was patiently waiting for a vanilla cone when I heard that a panel of experts blames our nation's obesity problem on a fat-promoting culture that produces and markets unhealthy foods, not on individual diet and exercise choices.
Score! (Could you make that a vanilla cone and a Coke?)
And I knew that Scotcheroo I had at lunch didn't really count.
It's no wonder my dog can't drop any weight either. Those darn fat promoters.
Clearly they're responsible for tonight's Hy-Vee deli dinner in all it's fried and carb-y goodness.
I wonder what they're going to force me to eat tomorrow?
